Review
Excellent second parkrun event on my schedule based at Oak Hill, East Barnet. As always I had a very warm welcome from all the volunteers/patrons and felt at home chatting to the parkrun director of the day Robin as we all walked to the start!
Course
Today we run the alternate course B (picture below) that was I am told is a more challenging, the reason behind this was because vehicles were using the normal routes paths to set up for the East Barnet Festival!
The course was two and half anti-clockwise laps of the park with the back section along Church Hill Road gaining 37 metres on each lap! This is a very good testing course as I have no doubt that even harder events lay in wait for me! The finish was on a very welcoming downhill section so you could gather some speed for a sprint finish!
Personal Stats
My parkrun time 32:45
Total accumulative miles traveled = 59
Important Info
Park Facilities: Very welcoming post race cafe and all the facilities you would expect for a well maintained London park, well done!
Parking: More than enough free car park very close to the finish of the course b race
Final Verdict
I challenging but very enjoyable alternate route, with excellent volunteers headed by Robin on the day that made me feel at home for the whole of my visit!
Maybe one day I might be back to run the easier course A 🙂
Well done Oak Hill parkrun!
Run on the 02-07-2016
