Event 9 Kingston

Review

Beautiful location for a parkrun running beside the iconic river Thames and on route past the famous Teddington Lock where the tidal section of the river finishes!

Today it was great to have some family cheerleaders on the route namely Uncle Dermott, cousin Adrian and not forgetting my best pal Barny the dog 🙂 Thanks for turning up guys greatly appreciated!

Course

This is a very fast flat PB route that only has a rise of 3m over the whole length and is run mainly on towpaths with a small loop on Hamlands at the end of the outbound section, then you run the same way back to the finish!

Important note the course conditions were almost dry today, but if wet you may need to be a little bit careful of your footing around the Hamlands section that is grass trail!

Personal Stats

My parkrun time 30:41

Important Info

Park Facilities

Top notch the YMCA Hawker centre next to the finish has a large free car park and very important toilets are available before the race in the centre!

There is a children’s play area for the kids and the post run coffee inside the centre, they have a great touch by giving you a 15% discount off your bill on production of your parkrun barcode!

Final Verdict

Very well done to Terri and your parkrun team of volunteers, beautiful location to run and top PB course!

Excellent going Team Kingston!

Run on the 09-07-2016

Best
